Hey there! It's been a long and very strange year hasn't it? I hope you are doing well and staying healthy! We have settled into our new home in the country in late 2018, I went back to work full time after a health issue (anyone with thyroid disease knows what I mean) and now this horrible virus. Covid-19 is no joke! A friend of ours passed away from this horrible virus and I am sure many of you have been directly affected as well. Besides the virus, people are out of work or had their hours dramatically reduced which another thing that is really hurting people. All is not bad though! We can take this time to think about what is really important in our lives, use the extra time to learn a new skill, spend more time with loved ones (within our household, of course) learn to relax more and take better care of ourselves. I am very fortunate to still have work available although my hours have been cut, however, I am using that extra time to create new tutorials for digital art, crochet and other crafts! Which brings me to what this post is all about- If you are new to my site I want you to know that I stand behind my work and am here to serve you, my customers, clients, friends, family, etc, with my best work and will do my best to answer your questions and/or concerns. The last few years have been very busy and my website, classes/tutorials have been put on hold unfortunately. After much thought, I have decided to keep it going and to make it a point to keep creating tutorials, new work and maybe even more classes! A little bit about me- My name is Kim Miller and I live in Michigan with my husband and two dogs. My younger brother (who happens to be 20 years younger than me is living with us for a short time as well.) My mother; Mary Moore, passed away quite suddenly in 2011 and I decided to dedicate this site and my work to her. She was a very creative person and was always doing some sort of craft or art with us. I work full time as a project manager/photographer/editor for a large scale photo project. My background is in Visual Communications and Web Design. I am proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Procreate, Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo, Weebly and of course, Crochet! My work consists of product photography, hand lettering, vector artwork, custom brushes and handmade crochet items. I also create artwork/lettering for the Cricut. I love teaching others what I know and like to "think outside the box" when designing and crafting. I am a true believer that anything is possible. I have never been a great cook... however, as I have gotten older and the health issues started creeping in, I have changed my diet to vegetarian and increased my daily exercise. So needless to say, I also like to get creative with my cooking and baking! If you have any suggestions on what you would like to learn please feel free to contact me via email, Instagram or Facebook! Now, on to the actual Mandala tutorial for the Procreate app! Enjoy and please let me know if you have any questions. I do want to add that when you are creating your canvas please make sure your resolution is at least 300ppi.
